Snore Soother requests access to your device's microphone solely for the purpose of:

• Detecting snoring sounds in real-time
• Adjusting the volume of soothing sounds in response to snoring

Important: All audio processing is performed locally on your device. No audio is ever recorded, stored, saved, or transmitted off your device. The app does not have the ability to record or store any audio files.

1.2 No Personal Data

• We do not collect any personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
• We do not use any analytics, tracking, or crash reporting services

2. How We Use Information

Since we do not collect any data, there is no information to use, share, or sell. The only function of the microphone permission is to enable real-time snore detection for the core functionality of the app.

3. Data Storage

Snore Soother stores only the following local data on your device:

• Volume calibration settings (min/max volume) – stored locally via Android SharedPreferences
• Selected sound preference – stored locally

This data is never transmitted anywhere and is only used to persist your preferences between app sessions. You can clear this data at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings.

4. Third-Party Services

Snore Soother does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or libraries that collect or transmit data.

• No analytics SDKs (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• No advertising SDKs
• No cloud storage or backup services
• No social media or login integrations

5. Permissions

The app requires the following permissions:

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) – Required for real-time snore detection. Audio is processed locally and never leaves your device.
• Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK) – Prevents the device from going to sleep while the app is running at night.
• Foreground Service – Allows the app to run in the background while your phone is locked.

6. Children's Privacy

Snore Soother is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. However, you can:

• Disable microphone permissions at any time via your device settings (note: this will prevent the app from detecting snoring)
• Clear all local app data via your device settings → Apps → Snore Soother → Storage → Clear Data
• Uninstall the app at any time
